This open-level Folklore class is designed for dancers of all experience levels who want to learn and explore the fundamentals of traditional Jalisco dances.
In this class, students will focus on basic footwork, rhythm, posture, and traditional movements that are essential to folklórico. You’ll also learn foundational choreography while developing coordination, timing, and cultural appreciation for this vibrant dance style.
Whether you are a complete beginner or have previous experience, this class provides a welcoming environment to build confidence and improve your technique at your own pace.
This class runs in a 4-week cycle, making it easy to stay consistent and track your progress over time.

Do I need to bring a partner?
You do not need to bring a partner. You will partner up during class and we rotate partners often.
Beginners can start with street shoes or dress shoes that have ankle-straps (support) with medium-height heels or any flat-bottom shoes or regular dancing shoes. Avoid wearing shoes that have thick rubber soles such as sneakers, clogs, boots or flip-flops.
Yes - Wednesdays and Saturdays teach the same content within the same week. If you need to swap a class - please message us and let us know to update your reservation.
All sales are non-refundable. You must complete use all 4 classes in the current cycle. It cannot be used or extended for future workshops/cycles. It cannot be shared or transferred to another person.
